Desert Dance Photo Shoot | Dreamy Dance Photos In Sedona, Arizona

This desert dance photo shoot is one for the books! This photo session is when I officially decided I wanted to pursue photography full time. My best friend, Megan and I decided to take a Spring Break trip out west and she asked that at some point on our trip, could I take a few dance photos for her. Of course my answer was yes!

Once we arrived in Sedona, I knew this would be the perfect spot to make our desert dance photo shoot dreams come true. We got so lucky and found this gorgeous spot to take a few shots. Everything worked out perfectly. The lighting, the location, and the weather could not have been better for us!

Megan wanted improvisation focused photos, so we put on our favorite dance playlist and Megan danced, while I took photos. I would occasionally stop her and tell her to recreate a movement and perfect the shape of her arms or legs to get the ideal shot. Other times, I would just move around her to try to get a few different angles. Together, we worked to make a vision come to life and it's a session I will never forget!
